About me
Biography Leonie Paulus
In November 2019 the Austrian Soprano Leonie Paulus sang the leading role in Nikolaus Schapfl's opera “The Little Prince” at the SZENE Theater Salzburg, Austria. She performed Pamina in The Magic Flute at the Jerusalem Summer Festival in Israel in July 2021. She regularly appears as an interpreter of „Lieder“ and she has given concerts in Germany, Italy, Portugal, Norway and Russia. Furthermore, she is known as a soloist in oratorios by W.A. Mozart in Salzburg's churches. In August 2021 she sang Hanne in „Die Jahreszeiten“ by Joseph Haydn.
Leonie Paulus mostly grew up in Salzburg, Austria, but also spent time in Miami, Florida, Costa Rica and Thailand. After graduating from Musisches Gymnasium Salzburg with high honors in a specialization in music, she received her further vocal education at the the CANTA Studio Salzburg with Mario Diaz. In June 2020 she completed her Bachelor’s degree in “Performing Arts - Singing“ at Mozarteum University Salzburg with Ildikó Raimondi. During her studies she enrolled for a semester abroad at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory St. Petersburg, Russia with Maria Lyudko. Additionally she studied “Master Lied“ with Donald Sulzen, Rudi Spring and Talia Or at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. She continues her musical education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Karlheinz Hanser with a Master in Vocal Performance with an emphasis on opera. Leonie Paulus is the 1st prize winner of the Tsarskoye Selo competition in Pushkin, Russia.
